Compared with high carbon steel wire, what are the advantages of tungsten wire as a diamond wire generatrix?
(1) Smaller diameter can effectively reduce the loss rate of the silicon wafer. It is reported that the diamond wire bus industry has begun to develop a 35um line, which is seriously approaching the limit of steel wire, so tungsten wire as generatrix has become an inevitable trend. 35um steel wire is easy to break due to its small breaking force and insufficient cutting capacity.
(2) The lower wire breaking rate is mainly attributed to the higher tensile strength, better toughness, stronger cutting ability, and fatigue resistance of a tungsten-based diamond wire.
(3) Better corrosion and oxidation resistance, When the coating is damaged, the tungsten wire will not react with oxygen in the air to produce corresponding oxides, which will reduce the cutting performance, just like the steel wire.

(4) Higher cutting efficiency, Within a certain period of time, tungsten-based diamond wires with the same diameter have more cutting times than those made of steel wire, the yield is higher, that is, the cut products have no obvious scratches.
(5) The service life is longer. For example, in monocrystalline silicon production, the service life of wire rope made of tungsten wire is about 10 times longer than that of wire rope made of steel wire.
(6) It is more suitable for cutting large-size silicon wafers, which is mainly due to the thinner wire of tungsten-based diamond wire, higher breaking force, and less silicon chip breakage.
(7) More cost-saving, mainly reflected in the reduction of the loss rate of the cut workpiece and the increase of the use times.
