Titanium alloy is known as modern metal. Because it is widely used in the field of national defense science and technology, the United States and other military powers attach great importance to its development and utilization, some scholars continue to study the alloy. The research on high-temperature titanium alloy is active abroad. due to being used in aircraft engine compressor disc, the engine requires high-temperature material to have good room temperature performance and thermal stability, which has contradictory requirements for material composition and structure.
After the 1950s, the service temperature of titanium gradually increased, the application temperature of high-temperature titanium alloy reached 600 ℃ at the beginning of the 21st century.
At present, new high-temperature titanium alloys successfully used in military and civil aircraft engines include IMI834 from Britain. High-temperature alloys such as Ti55,Ti53311S and Ti60have been developed in China. At present, its development in China has not achieved effective application in aviation. At present, the amount of titanium used in Aeroengine has become an important index to measure its progress. For example, the fourth-generation fighter F-22 is equipped with an F119 engine, whose amount of titanium used is up to 35%. High-temperature titanium alloy is used to manufacture corresponding brake components on aero engines. At present, the titanium engineering with the highest temperature in the world is MI934.
