The surface reaction layer is the main factor affecting the physical and chemical properties of titanium castings. 1. Pspouting sand

White corundum is usually used for sandblasting of titanium castings. The pressure is lower than that of non-precious metals and is generally controlled below 0.45Mpa. Because when the injection pressure is too high, the sand particles will impact the surface and generate intense sparks. The temperature rise can react with the titanium surface, forming secondary pollution and affecting the surface quality. The time is 15 to 30 seconds, only remove the sticky sand, surface sintering layer, and part and oxidation layer. The remaining surface reaction layer should be quickly removed by chemical acid washing.

2. Pickling:

Acid pickling removes the surface reaction layer of the discount gr5 titanium plate completely and quickly, without contamination by other elements. HF-HCl system and HF-HNO3 series of acid lotion can be used for titanium, However, the hydrogen absorption of HF-HCl system acid is large, while that of HF-HNO3 is small, so the concentration of HNO3 can be controlled to reduce the hydrogen absorption and the surface can be brightened. The general concentration of HF is about 3%~5% and the concentration of HNO3 is about 15%~30%.
