TA6V is a titanium alloy made up of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. There are different versions of this alloy with slightly different compositions, including the TA6V-ELI (Extra Low Interstitial) variant which has reduced interstitial elements for improved ductility and toughness.

Mechanical properties of TA6V include high strength-to-weight ratio, good corrosion resistance, and excellent biocompatibility for medical applications. For example, at room temperature TA6V has a tensile strength of around 900 MPa, a yield strength of around 800 MPa, and an elongation at break of around 15%.
