Platinum-based coating

Anode for water electrolysis is used in industry.

50 to 200 A/m2 of current density

Background and introduction to product use: Platinum is a common electrode material used in electroplating, electrolytic synthesis, wastewater treatment, fuel cells, and other applications. Platinum electrodes have good corrosion resistance, high catalytic activity, and are very resistant to oxidation, high oxygen evolution potential, low hydrogen evolution potential, and other characteristics are both the excellent performance of anode material, but also the superb performance of cathode material. Platinum exhibits great corrosion resistance in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and the majority of electrolyte solutions, with the exception of a few mixed acids. Hydrogen peroxide, ammonium persulfate, electrolyzed water, and other essential electrochemical industry domains can all be employed as anode materials. However, the promotion and use of platinum electrodes in the electrochemical sector are constrained by the scarcity and high cost of platinum resources, which is made worse by the wide range of electrode materials utilized in industrial applications. It is important to employ a titanium-based platinum anode in place of the pure platinum anode in order to reduce the cost of the electrode and conserve platinum resources; at the moment, the titanium-based platinum anode is primarily, and the bonding force of the electroplating platinum metal platinum layer is poor.

  The coating platinum layer technology that our company has developed has the benefits of low cost, a straightforward manufacturing process, and a manageable bonding force. Furthermore, sintered platinum electrodes have better conductivity and a longer lifespan than titanium electrodes that have been imported with platinum plating. In the trials, it is demonstrated that the electrolysis effect is superior to that of the ruthenium-iridium coating and that alkaline ionized water with a pH of 9.5 or more, acidic ionized water with an ORP of over -250mv, and pH levels of 3 to 4, can both be obtained.

Merit:

  1. Keep the pH of acidic water below 2.5 and the pH of alkaline water above 8.5, the ORP value of alkaline water less than -250 mV, and acidic water greater than 1000 mV;

  2. There are more than 3000 hours;

  3. Low cost and simple production process;

  4. High oxygen evolution potential, ≥ 1.68V.
