3. Nickel welding wire application
nickel welding wire Erni-1 is used for welding 200 and 201 nickel alloys and nickel-plated steel plates, such as alloys in the ASTM B160, 161, 162, and 163 standards, welding of steel and nickel dissimilar materials;-surface surfacing of steel.

5. Precautions for use of nickel welding wire:

Surface impurities such as oil, rust, and moisture must be thoroughly removed at the welding site.

Small heat input is used during welding, and a lower interpass temperature is recommended

The purity of the argon used should be above 99.99% and the gas flow control should be appropriate. Usually, when the welding current is 100-200A, the gas flow is about 10-15L/min.

Proper windproof facilities need to be provided during welding, otherwise, the gas protection is poor due to the shielding gas being easy to be affected by the wind. Deteriorate the weld bead and generate porosity.

Correctly choose the nozzle and control the appropriate extension length of the tungsten electrode.
