R60702 zirconium tubes offer excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength, making them widely used in chemical heat exchangers, aerospace, and other fields. They exhibit strong corrosion resistance in most acids, alkalis, and salt media, particularly outperforming stainless steel and titanium in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and organic acids.
Zirconium's main applications in chemical equipment manufacturing include:
1. Corrosion-resistant pipes and containers: Designed for use with highly corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, such as hydrochloric acid processing equipment with a concentration of 70% or less;
2. High-temperature reactor components: Utilizing zirconium's stable corrosion resistance to water vapor below 400°C, they are used in heat exchangers and reaction vessels in chemical processes.
Similarly, zirconium welding wires offer excellent corrosion resistance to most organic and inorganic acids, strong alkalis, and molten salts, making them particularly suitable for chemical equipment and marine engineering. For example, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and organic acids near 100°C have minimal effect on it. Its corrosion resistance in alkaline environments is superior to that of metals like titanium and tantalum.
Zirconium welding wire easily forms a dense oxide film on its surface, offering excellent workability. During welding, the molten pool and heat-affected zone must be strictly protected from air contamination. TIG welding and other processes are commonly used to ensure joint quality.
