Main Characteristics and Specifications of GR3 Titanium Rods
GR3 titanium bars are made of industrial pure titanium, with a titanium content of over 99% and no other metals added. The strength of GR3 is slightly higher than that of GR1 and GR2, but it still falls within the category of pure titanium, and its formability is slightly inferior to the former two. It possesses the following core characteristics:
High Strength and High Specific Strength: Titanium's strength is close to that of steel, but its density is only 60% of that of steel, resulting in high specific strength. GR3 has a higher strength grade than GR1 and GR2 among industrial pure titanium grades, making it suitable for applications requiring a certain level of strength.
Excellent corrosion resistance: Exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and neutral media, especially stable in seawater, chlorine, and nitric acid environments. It also maintains good corrosion resistance under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, making it suitable for marine environments and the chemical industry.
Good weldability and machinability: It can be welded in various ways, with welded joints reaching up to 90% of the base metal strength. It is easy to saw and abrasive-cut, exhibiting good machinability.
Lightweight: Titanium's density is approximately 4.5 g/cm³, significantly lower than steel, providing excellent lightweight properties.
High temperature resistance: Titanium alloys have a high melting point and good oxidation resistance, maintaining stable performance even at high temperatures.
Regarding specifications, our titanium rods range in diameter from Φ4.0mm to Φ500mm, with lengths exceeding 2000mm; titanium rings can reach an outer diameter of Φ1500mm. Custom production is available to meet diverse application needs.
