The chemical composition of the welding wire is the same as that of the base metal, and the model is ERZr2. The welding wire used must have a quality certificate or material certificate. 7. What are the welding cautions of the Zirconium welding rod?
High-purity argon (argon purity ≥ 99.999%) is used as shielding gas for zirconium welding due to the sensitivity of zirconium to oxygen, the welding of zirconium materials must adopt a gas collector and several bottles of argon shall be used in parallel to increase the supply of argon. The method of appropriately increasing the amount of argon shall be used to isolate oxygen and nitrogen. The purity of xenon must be checked when formally welding and replacing an argon cylinder or gas collector.
